“Gideon” online premiere inspires audience with spirit of adventure, monster-slaying

October 11, 2020 saw the world premiere of the online incarnation of Gideon and the Blundersnorp, a pandemic-era production recorded entirely in teleconferencing software and edited into a fast-paced, movie like musical adventure!
Streaming simultaneously on both Zoom and YouTube, Gideon brought together the talents of a trans-continental cast, who collaborated online in a time when in-person theater wasn’t possible.
The cast and creative team assembled afterwards for an online chat where they fielded questions from the audience.
What’s next for the show? We have a little tinkering to do with the sound mix, but will be announcing a return of the online performance during the 2020 holiday season! Also stay tuned for the release of the cast album, pulled directly from the show’s performances.
